Overview:
After creating a lathed wooden disc, the objective was to design and fabricate a vessel that would both contain and showcase it. The only project requirement was to incorporate lathed wood veneer into the final design.

Reflection:
My goal was to create a display that celebrated the craftsmanship of the lathed wooden disc by making it the visual centerpiece of the design. Every decision was made to support and highlight the disc rather than compete with it. In addition to exploring form and presentation, this project expanded my technical woodworking abilities, particularly in joinery, precision shaping, and finishing. It reinforced the importance of balancing aesthetics with craftsmanship to create a thoughtful and cohesive final product.
